About the Training


Evolve Yourself is a journey of self-discovery through strong, intelligent and conscious daily morning practices and special workshops. This Teacher Training programme will deeply analyse the concept of Counter Energy and provide practical tips on how to harness it to make your practice more fluid, your body more balanced in strength and flexibility, and make weight transfer during your practice more effective.

The Self-Awareness Workshops teach body work techniques that help you tune into the present and focus on getting the basics right, instead of being fixated on how a posture should look from the outside. Heightening this awareness will improve and deepen your practice so much that you can carry this knowledge off the mat and apply it to your everyday life.

The Theory Workshops enhance your knowledge of Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy and Physiology. You will gain a better understanding of how yoga connects the body, mind and spirit, and how individual variations in a body call for adaptations. Eventually you will realise we might not be built the same way, but we are on different paths to the same destination.

The Art of Teaching Workshops focus on the techniques required for sharing your own experience with others effectively so you can teach a class with confidence. They will help teacher trainees build their arsenal of tools including verbal cues, hands-on adjustments, demonstration and sequencing.

All matters have different rhythms of energy flow and the right amount of energy creates balance. Too much energy flow, too little, or an aberrant direction of energy flow causes imbalance. In a Counter Flow practice, we understand our intention, direction and attention, we observe the actions and balance the energy. At the end we share our energy.

Intention is an inner energy that motivates us to make a decision. Direction is the action of our body. Attention is how we focus on our aim. Through yoga practice, we open our senses and connect more readily with intention, direction and attention. However, if our direction goes awry the result changes too. In a Counter Flow practice, we do not focus on the result. We go deep within to sense the moment, which facilitates the concentration of our mind. Moreover, there is no right or wrong, the key is to achieve balance. Different actions bring about different Karma, so we cannot only look at a situation from one angle. When our energy is balanced, we are ready to share it with others.

This 3-part Teacher Training is suitable for everyone who are in different stages of their practice:
• Part 1 - 6-day Foundation Training helps to develop a strong base. This is a first step that leads to a deeper practice.
• Part 2 - 7-day Immersion awakes our body and connects our mind so that we can understand ourselves through practice.
• Part 3 - 7-day Art of Teaching illustrates how to connect our practice and share with others effectively.

Participate in all 3 parts, 20 days Counter Flow Teacher Training and become a RYT 200 Yoga Teacher. Or you can take the part that is most suitable for you and deepen your practice. Yoga is about understand ourselves so that we could also understand the others.

Certification
The course is fully registered with Yoga Alliance. Completion will allow you to become a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Upon completion of this course and all assignments, students will be awarded a certificate of participation.

Yoga Alliance Accredited School
Pure Yoga is a registered school with Yoga Alliance. Our teacher training programmes and teachers are internationally accredited, have exclusive recognition and qualify for the 200-hr Yoga Alliance Certification.

Yoga Alliance is an international governing board for yoga teachers and training programmes in the U.S and globally. Graduates of our programme are automatically eligible to register as a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Becoming a RYT means having a higher profile and gaining international recognition as a yoga teacher attributes that many hiring studios look for.

We offer this training in an effort to grow our community of committed yoga practitioners, empowering those who demonstrate dedication to a personal practice, by sharing the knowledge, skills and tools we have learned so they too can start teaching yoga.

We intend to guide trainees toward a healthy self-confidence, while at the same time invoking in them a sense of humility and excitement, knowing that they are at the beginning of a long journey.
